Macclesfield Town 2-1 Bury
Well another away day comes round and the Shakers are heading round the M60 to our ‘derby’ clash with Macclesfield.
Stu and Mark are once again involved with the fans team, and we leave Bury at 8:30 to meet the guys at Gigg and drive to Macclesfield. We eventually arrive at the pitch, get changed, and Stu and Mark are subs.
We both get around 20/25mins with Mark at right back and Stu at defensive midfield. Both contribute to a good Bury win (it was 1-0 when we came on), and the new yellow kit has got dirty.
Then on to the ‘proper’ match, maybe, just maybe, the Shakers can go on a run unbeaten.
Nope, this is Bury FC.
We go ahead through everyone’s favourite right wing back, Lee Unsworth, and we look capable of holding off Macc’s attacks.
But a foul on Murphy and a good finish, followed by a last minute offside Parkin goal condemns the Shakers to another defeat.
Ah well, who said being a footy fan is boring.
