With only 5 new league two grounds to visit this season, Nottingham Forest, Bradford City and Sheffield Wednesday are high on the list of 'Grounds to Do this season'.

Walsall 1-0 Swindon Town

With Bury playing on friday evening, Glenn and Stu decided to get another ground added to their collection. Walsall was the chosen destination and we departed at 10am. We had no problems with traffic and arrived at the Bescot train station car park at 11.25am. We had our picnic in the car, and at 12noon headed towards the ticket office.

After eventually finding it we got two tickets in the lower tier of the Floors-to-Go stand, sat behind the goal. The picture panoramic was taken and it struck us how similar the ground is to Scunthorpes Glanford Park (see photo album). The match was well....... drab, and the annoying brummies surrounding us got extremely irritating after a while. Walsall scored through a large piece of luck, the ball cannoning off one strikers shin into the path of the other striker who slotted into the open goal.

Swindon had some good individual players but on the whole were quite poor, and Walsall weren't exactly much better. As the game finished we headed for the Saddlers suite to watch the England game hoping for more entertainment and skill than the game we'd just watched. However, the game was very similar to the Walsall game and it took a deflected Joe Cole (boo) strike to win the game.

Following the England game conclusion, we headed back to the car, via another photo opportunity:

Setting off home at 5pm, we shot up the M6 via Pizza Pioneer and home.
